What is the difference between therapeutic and aromatherapy grade grade essential oils?
Would like to know what is better or best for what?
There are three different types of essential oils that I'm aware of that. Degrees C grade perfume are food grade B and Grade A is the therapeutic quality. Perfume-grade oils are inferior grade oils from inferior parts of plants which are chemically extracted and usually come kind of the carrier oil diluted. Quite often, the oil itself is synthetic … not even the real thing. Perfume oils should never be taken internally. Food Oils are one step, but still of lower quality. You can still find chemical extractions, plastics and diluted products … but at a higher price. Therapeutic Grade oils should be 100% pure oils without synthetic. The oils should be using steam-distillation, no chemicals, and finally there should be a huge price difference will be extracted when the two compared lesser quality levels. Price can be very subjective, so let me give you an example. Jasmine oil in a perfume grade you can probably pick up from the health food store for under $ 10 per ounce. Jasmine in a food grade oil would probably jump to $ 25-30. Therapeutic grade Jasmine is closer to $ 100 for a small 10ml bottle. An ounce bottle is equal to 29.5 ml Anyway, huge price difference big difference is the quality of the results. If you do any serious aromatherapy or healing work you want the highest grade of oil. The truth is, when it comes to the essential oils you need to know is Your dealer. Looking for someone with a known reputation for providing high-quality oils. And if you are online on something that only seems good to be true, … Stumble You know what?
