Aromatherapy – Soapstone diffusers, this must be polished?

I bought a soapstone diffuser. outside polished, but I've just noticed that the interior of essential oil well (where the liquid goes) is not polished at all. The texture is a little rough. – If I use it, the essential Oils will seep into the stone, because it is not polished so it worthless for the use of different oils? Sammie

The stone will be Porus, whether it polishes or not. I would recommend for you to get some 190 proof grain alcohol if it is available where you live, if not, ask a pharmacist to demonstrate by 190 alcohol (a type of alcohol you drink not) then with the 190 proof alcohol clean the tank that holds the water and oil.
